Questions people ask
What is StrokePath?
An educational service about recovery after a stroke. It turns what a rehabilitation team knows into practical steps you can follow at home, across twelve care areas, with a plan for each day.
Is it a substitute for my therapy team?
No. StrokePath gives general educational information. It does not diagnose, it does not prescribe, and it does not give advice tailored to one person's medical situation. If your team tells you something different from what you read here, follow your team.
Who is it for?
Mainly the family caregivers doing the day-to-day work at home. It is also built for stroke survivors well enough to use it themselves.
What does it cost?
R199 a month, or R79 a month with a code from your doctor, practice or hospital. Both open exactly the same membership. There is no free tier or free trial.
When am I charged, and how do I cancel?
When you join, then on the same date each month, in advance. If you join on the 29th, 30th or 31st, later charges fall on the 28th. You can cancel at any time from your account or by email, and you keep access to the end of the month you paid for.
Do I need to be online to use it?
You need a connection to sign in and to open a screen for the first time. After that it keeps working offline, which matters on a limited or expensive connection.
Is my information safe?
What you record about your own recovery is health information, and we handle it that way. It stays private to you and to anyone you choose to share it with, you can download or delete all of it whenever you want, and we never sell it or use it to advertise. What StrokePath does not hold is anything clinical: no diagnoses, no medical records and no clinical notes.
Recovery is a long road. You shouldn't have to guess your way along it.
StrokePath is open. Set it up once, around what matters most, and start with today's plan.
